Pond Care Spring & Autumn Pond Food

Fortified with stabilized vitamin C and vitamins A, D, and E.

Contains spirulina algae for natural color enhancement.

Pond Care Spring & Autumn Pond Food is formulated to provide fish with the proper proportions of proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and amino acids needed for cool water feeding. Fish metabolism is directly related to water temperature. Fish are cold-blooded, which means that their body temperature is the same as the temperature of the water. In cool water, the fish’s metabolism is slow, and their digestion of protein is poor. Much of the protein that fish eat is only partially digested and is eliminated in their waste and converted rapidly into ammonia, a stress-producing and toxic water pollutant. Feeding Spring & Autumn Pond Food when pond water is cool will help promote better water quality and healthier and more colorful fish.

Directions for Use

When water temperature is cool, 42°F to 70°F (6°C to 21°C), feed pond fish one to three times a day, in amounts no greater than they can consume within a few minutes. The floating pellets soften quickly, so that even small fish can feed with ease.

Spring & Autumn Pond Food can be used during the summer months to add variety to the diet of pond fish and to bring fish to the water’s surface for inspection or display without the concern of ammonia build-up because of Spring & Autumn Pond Food’s reduced-protein content.

This product can also be used in the summer when adding neew fish to a pond to help prevent an ammonia build-up while the biological filter adjusts to the increased number of fish.

PRODUCT REVIEWS
Five Star Customer Rating
I've used this product for: over 3 years

Comments: Our fish have had no other kind of food. They appear to be in robust health, and are very active. I buy 29 cent feeder fish, and they grow into the biggest goldfish I've ever seen.

I've used this product for: over 2 years

Comments: Most of the other brands of spring and autumn pellets I have used in the past are too large for the smaller fish to get in their mouths and after a while swell up and get mushy. some of the other brands the protein content is altogether too high for spring and fall feeding in cold water. Your pellets look like fish food and not like rabbit food. Some of your pellets are red and green. Will my goldfish change their color as you advertise more colorful fish ?? just kidding thank you for a good product.

Comments: I live in NE Maryland where we had a rough winter and my fish flourished before the pond got down to 45 degrees when I stopped feeding, and once it warmed up they are still bright eyed and bushy tailed! I've started feeding again recently and they are thriving.
