Frequently Asked Questions about Accu-Clear
Q: Will Accu-Clear color my pond water?
A: No. Accu-Clear will not color the water.
Q: Can Accu-Clear be used in water gardens containing pond plants?
A: Yes. Accu-Clear will not harm submerged or floating plants
Q: After I added Accu-Clear my water cleared up but the flow rate on my filter slowed down. Why?
A: Accu-Clear causes fine particles to clump together into larger heavier particles. These particles are more easily trapped by pond filters. As the filter collects the debris it may become clogged. This will result in a reduced flow rate out of the filter. Rinse or replace the filter media to restore proper filter flow.
Q: I don't have a pond filter in my pond. I have a submersible pump and a fountain. Will Accu-Clear work?
A: Yes. The prefilter on your pump will collect some of the settled debris and will require periodic cleaning. When the flow rate decreases clean the prefilter.
Q: Does Accu-Clear reduce the oxygen level in ponds?
A: No. If an algae bloom suddenly dies or is trapped in the pond filter, however, a sudden drop in the oxygen level can occur. The decomposing algae will consume some of the oxygen in the pond. In very warm weather water holds very little oxygen. It is important to maximize aeration in the warmer seasons to prevent oxygen depletion and fish loss.
Q: Can I add a double dose of Accu-Clear to make my water clear faster?
A: No. Adding more than the recommended dose will not improve the performance of Accu-Clear.

I've used this product for: 3 to 5 years
Comments:
I have a 3200 gallon Koi Pond and have used this product for nearly 5 years now. It works very well and within 2 days of application the floating particles in my pond are gone. It leaves the water looking like "liquid glass" as my wife calls it - very clear with great translucence.
One of the FAQ's on this page discussed Accu-Clear's affect on filter flow rate. Make sure you clean your filters a couple of times after applying Accu-Clear for even longer crystal clear water.
Do NOT be alarmed when you apply Accu-Clear that your pond water immediately turns into a cloudy white-gray color......once the Accu-Clear dissipates it begins its work.......the cloudiness lets you see the Accu-Clear spread throughout your water.....come back several hours later or the next day and you'll be amazed at the clarity of the water !!
Will continue to use this product in my pond.
